Susan best pix before hand blessing

“Susan Talbott was an absolute delight to work with….from the time my husband and I first met with her (after we got engaged), we instantly felt a connection with her and knew she was the perfect fit for our wedding ceremony. She is a warm, down-to-earth, generous, and incredibly intelligent individual who truly listens to clients’ needs. We were looking for a spiritual, personal and Christian-based ceremony and she came through with flying colors in terms of the ceremony content and flow. Our families and friends really enjoyed her company and we plan on keeping in touch with her from here on out. We would highly recommend Susan to anyone looking for a wedding officiant.”

“Susan was absolutely amazing for our same-sex wedding. We gave her (almost!) free reign to plan a ceremony suited to my husband and I, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results. During the planning and rehearsal meetings, Susan spent time getting to know us and our families, and her approach was very genuine and warm-hearted. Susan’s ceremony was sweet, unique, funny, and very personalized to us, and afterwards everyone kept telling us how beautiful it was. We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant for our wedding, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a unique and genuine ceremony for their special day!”

“Let’s start off by saying this: Of all the compliments my husband and I received about our wedding, the biggest one was for our unique, personalized ceremony. I had many male family members admit to shedding a tear! Another said, “Usually I’m so bored at the ceremony and can’t wait to get to the reception, but yours was really different.”

From the initial meeting, Susan displayed her dedication to us as a couple and our vision for our day. We spent hours discussing our history as a couple, families, interests, religious/secular preferences, etc. Planning a wedding is stressful, but I never once worried about our ceremony because I knew she’d do a wonderful job. Her suggestion of a wine box/letter unity component was perfect for our ceremony on the grounds of a winery. Susan went above and beyond the call of an officiant by far. She deserves the highest praise!

“My husband and I do not attend church regularly and felt uncomfortable approaching a local church and asking their pastor to officiate our wedding. Rev. Susan Talbott was recommended to me by a friend and as soon as my husband and I met with her, we knew it was a perfect match! She really gets to know you as individuals and as couple and makes you feel so comfortable! She kept in touch during the months leading up to our wedding and even asked me for a list of names and relationships of people who would be at our rehearsal so that she could get a head start on learning who was who. At the rehearsal she began by getting to know all of my close family and friends and welcoming them all. She helped to calm all of our nerves and keep everything organized. On the day of the wedding, again, she helped to keep us all calm and our ceremony went on without a hitch! I cannot say enough about Susan as a person and how perfect our ceremony was! She even stayed after the dinner into the reception and had fun with all of my guests! I would absolutely recommend her to all! Thank you Susan for helping to make our day so special!”

“My husband and I met a little later in life and we enjoyed a very special courtship that continues today and that led to us deciding to marry and build a life together. With Reverend Susan Talbott’s guidance and gentle manner, my husband and I created a wedding ceremony unique to us and our relationship — a day that we’ll always cherish and remember.  Susan took the time to get to know each of us and that intimacy came through in the details of our ceremony.  She supported us as we developed each layer of our ceremony and worked with us to bring each unique element to life.  She encouraged us to create our own vows, to include a hand blessing, to remember both of our fathers (who passed before our wedding) in a touching and memorable way and, of course, the ring exchange, that special  moment of commitment and love.  It was an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and led with grace by Susan.  Thank you, Susan, for leading us to the first day of the rest of our married lives together.  We are forever grateful.”

“Susan performed a wonderful ceremony personalized to us. We continue to receive compliments on the service. She was at our rehearsal for a matter of minutes before knowing everyone’s name and relation to us. She is incredibly sweet, friendly, and professional.”

Light up the night

Susan was our officiant for our wedding on October 4, 2014. She was absolutely wonderful, she made the rehearsal and ceremony a breeze. As the bride, I had no worries about the ceremony as I knew it was in good hands. She was always willing to help us in any way she could. She made our ceremony so personal, stress free, and relaxed, just like we wanted.
